Andrea Dodsworth has been a long time volunteer with community organizations such as the Council for Persons with Disabilities (CPD), the Kawartha Participation Projects (KPP), and the YWCA. Andrea also sits on numerous committees like the Accessibility Advisory Committee, the transportation and built environment committee and is always ready to provide her input on any issue relating to improving accessibility in the Peterborough region. She is a tireless advocate for persons with disabilities and on June 8th at a ceremony at City Hall was recognized and awarded the Holnbeck Award.
The Holnbeck Award is a lifetime achievement award given to people who have enhanced the quality of life for people with disabilities.
