Bus stops moving during downtown terminal construction in Peterborough
All bus stops at the downtown Peterborough Transit Terminal at 190 Simcoe St. will move to temporary locations from August 5 to September 5, 2025, during construction.
Temporary signs will be placed at each of the new boarding locations.
All routes will continue to run on their regular schedules, though some will make minor detours to reach temporary stops.
The upgrades at the downtown transit terminal will eliminate the need for buses to reverse out of pick-up and drop-off areas. This improvement was recommended in the Transportation Master Plan and the Transit Route Review and Long-term Growth Study. Construction is expected to take four weeks.
