Active Together is free recreation and social program for adults 18+ with self-identified visible or invisible disabilities. Discover new interests, meet people and enjoy a variety of experiences in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
No experience is needed. Come as you are and participate at your own pace.
What we do
From creative workshops to community outings, there's always something to enjoy.
Active Together activities may include:
- Art and cooking classes
- Accessible sports and recreation
- Community outings and social gatherings
- Educational workshops and special events
Our calendar changes throughout the year based on participants' interests and suggestions.

Accessibility and inclusion
Accessibility looks different for everyone. We consider physical access, communication and sensory needs, emotional safety and individual preferences when planning activities.
Our goal is to create opportunities for people to take part in ways that work for them.
Participation is free, with no membership fees.

Join us every month
When: 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month
Where: Peterborough Legion, 1550 Lansdowne Street West, Peterborough (building is accessible)
Lunch of the day is included free of charge.
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
