Tuesday, May 21, 2013 – Peterborough, Ontario: On Monday, May 27, 2013 at 11:30 am, local politicians including Lesley Parnell and Dan McWilliams, along with Lois Tuffin, Editor in Chief of Peterborough This Week, will be rolling down to Peterborough Square from City Hall in a wheelchair challenge to support National Access Awareness Week.
Opening Ceremonies for this annual awareness celebration will take place from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. following the wheelchair challenge at Peterborough Square Mall, lower level.
National Access Awareness Week’s mission is to challenge all Canadians to affect changes through community partnerships resulting in equal access and full participation of persons with disabilities in all aspects of Canadian life.
