The Buildings Committee recently acted as a consultant for the Peterborough Community Housing Development Corporation (PCHDC). This corporation acquires older homes and renovates them to provide affordable accommodation. The house at 218 Wolfe St. is barrier-free and accommodates an individual with mobility problems on the 1st. floor and hearing impaired family on 2nd floor. CPD Buildings Committee provided information on retrofit and recommended City funding for same. The City owns the house which is operated by the PCHDC.
