Upon the advice of the Accessible Transportation Committee, Audible traffic signals were installed downtown and a few other selected locations. These signals are a safety feature for persons who are blind or have low vision. More intersections with audible traffic signals are currently planned. CNIB presented a Certificate of Merit to the CPD in recognition of this action.
